Lillian Pace- 28 Weeks!

How Far Along? 28 weeks, 1 Day---17 Inches & 2.9 Pounds
Size of the Baby? An Eggplant…I’ll be looking to eat the infamous Eggplant Parmesan if Little Miss isn’t here by December 17th!!!
Maternity Clothes? Mix of regular and maternity…I wish I could live in workout clothes at this point.
Weight Gain: 16 lbs….holding steady J
Stretch Marks? None!!! Highly recommend Mother’s Friend (you can only get it from Amazon)
Gender? As Mr. S says- PINK, PINK, PINK!!!
Movement? Lots & lots of movement…kicks, punches, cartwheels…our little girl is constantly moving & I LOVE it!
Wedding Rings? On!
Sleep? Pretty good this week! Other than the nightly restroom breaks around 2:30am or so, I’ve slept well J
Food Cravings? Nothing specific---I did buy some chocolate almond milk at the store that has been super tasty this week! Oh & anything spicy J
What I Miss: Sushi!!!  Can’t wait to go on a dinner date w/ Mr. S to our favorite sushi spot in a couple of months!
Symptoms? Other than the occasional discomfort & random swelling, I’ve felt great this week!  I continue to feel BIG, but that is par for the course J  Also, I’m shedding like crazy….don’t know if this is a pregnancy symptom or just the change in seasons, but it isn’t pretty!
Belly Button? In, but I have a feeling this is going to change in the next 12 weeks…scary L
Best Moment of the Week?  Got to hear sweet baby girl’s heartbeat (music to my ears!) & I/we passed our glucose test (praise God!) at our 27 weeks doctor’s appointment.  I’ll start having doctor appointments every 2 weeks going forward.  Also, we finished painting the nursery & Sugar came to visit & helped us continue decorating & organizing (THANK YOU Mom for all your help and generosity!)!  I think Lily’s nursery will be completed in the next couple of weeks…can’t wait to show you all the big reveal J

Lillian Pace- 27 Weeks

HELLO 3rd TRIMESTER!!!

Well here we are again...another week has flown by & I've only updated you guys on one thing---Lily!
I admit, I started this blog to track all aspects of our life, but right now Mr. S & I are consumed with getting everything ready for the arrival of our Little Miss in less than 3 months!
Football & weddings have also filled some of our time. Did anyone see Bama demolish the Razorbacks?!?!?! I will admit, I was a little bored by halftime b/c we were beating them so badly. I can't wait to see how the rest of our season goes J I have a feeling we'll be in Miami in January! J Our other team, ULM, lost in overtime to Auburn L It was a great game & ULM fought hard!  We couldn’t be more proud of my brother, Cody (or as Lily will say “Unc”), for his dedication and hard work over the last 5 years at ULM!!!

Cody playing against Auburn on Saturday!
 At the Knight wedding!

Now that you are somewhat caught up, lets talk baby

*I had to take this picture myself b/c my photographer husband was not home...not my best picture, so please
don't judge!*

How Far Along? 27 weeks, 1 Day---15 Inches & 2.5 Pounds
Size of the Baby? Cucumber
Maternity Clothes? Maternity bottoms, but everything else regular!  However, it is getting harder and harder to dress myself in the mornings, so I’m thinking more maternity tops are going to have to be purchased soon.
Weight Gain: 16 lbs….yikes!  The scale keeps creeping up more and more as we get closer to D-day.
Stretch Marks? None!!!  Doing everything I can to keep it this way!
Gender? GIRL J  Sweet Lillian Pace!
Movement? Lots & lots of movement…kicks, punches, cartwheels…our little girl is constantly moving & I LOVE it!
Wedding Rings? On!
Sleep? I have good and bad nights---seems like this is going to be the case for the foreseeable future L
Food Cravings? Fruit, yogurt, pizza, granola, WATER (I’m always thirsty!)
What I Miss: It is getting harder and harder to do normal things--- ie tying my shoes, putting on clothes, getting up from a chair.  I will say though, I have loved being pregnant & really wouldn’t change a thing!  Yes, I “miss” some stuff, but knowing I have our daughter growing & developing inside of me is SO much better than anything else!!!
Symptoms? I’ve had some pressure in my lower abdomen this week, which is completely normal, & some slight back pain when I stand for too long.  Still feeling really good J
Belly Button? In…for now!
Best Moment of the Week? We ventured to the Knight Wedding over the weekend & got to hang out with Mr. S’s friends from his younger days (Nug- here is your shoutout!).  It was a wonderful wedding & so great to catch up with friends we don’t get to see that often.  Also, Sugar (my mom) surprised us with some sweet clothes for Little Miss…can’t wait to see her in all of her outfits!  Lily is one loved little girl!

Lillian Pace- 26 Weeks!

We are in the double digits people----97 days until D-day will be here!!!  I can't believe it.  I'm SO ready to meet Little Miss, but we still have so much to do to get ready for our sweet girl.

Here we are @ 26 Weeks!

How Far Along? 26 weeks, 1 Day---13 Inches & 2.2 Pounds
Size of the Baby? Head of Lettuce
Maternity Clothes? Added to my maternity pants collection this week, purchased a cocktail dress for a wedding, & bought a couple maternity tops.
Weight Gain: Around 15 lbs…I fluctuated a good bit this week, but think that was my body regulating back to normal, non-vacation, eating!  I go to the doctor on Monday, so it’ll be interesting to see what their scale says J
Stretch Marks? Only 14 more weeks to go…..going to continue obsessively applying lotions & oils, so hopefully these won’t appear.
Gender? Pink, pink, pink J
Movement? You betcha!  I LOVE feeling her move! J  This is one thing I’m going to miss so much once she enters the world.
Wedding Rings? On!
Sleep? On & off…I’m thankful for the nights where I sleep really well & hard, but wish they weren’t so far apart!
Food Cravings? Cereal, almonds, fruit, orange juice & still dreaming of Kermit’s key lime pie J
What I Miss: Being able to participate in activities---we went to, Skyzone, an indoor trampoline place for the Bald Eagle’s (shout out to Dusty!) b-day, but this Mommy couldn’t participate L  However, I’m pretty sure Mr. S had enough fun for the both of us!
Symptoms? Other than feeling “big”, I’m feeling really good!  No major symptoms at all…so so thankful for an easy pregnancy.
Belly Button? In…for now!
Best Moment of the Week? We are one step closer to finishing Lily’s nursery!  Mr. S, along w/ the help of Bebe & Dusty, painted the nursery over the weekend…I LOVE the colors J  We also got to spend some time with family & sweet friends over the weekend & cheer on the Tide & ULM Warhawks to victory!  YAY Uncle Cody—we are so proud of you J

Key West Vacation Rewind

We're back from a wonderful, relaxing, and fun vacation...why did it have to end?!?!?  Coming back to the real world is NO
fun:(  Unpacking, laundry, cooking, work---ugh!  The only thing I was happy to get back to was our sweet pup (& I'm pretty sure he was happy to see us too).

It is crazy to think this was our last vacation just the 2 of us....next time we head to the beach, Lillian Pace will be in tow! :)  However, Mr. S & I have made a pact to always take one trip by ourselves every year, so I hope Sugar & Bebe are up for keeping Little Miss sometime next year :)

Our destination was Key West this year & I must say it was better than I could have imagined!  We went with no plans (other than 2 reservations that Mr. S surprised me with!) or agenda...just relax, eat & enjoy our time together.  Anyone that knows me, knows I'm not one to "relax"....I like to wake & go!  But this vacation allowed us to slow down and enjoy the days.

**Warning--this is an extremely long post!**

This sunset never got old

Day 1- We arrived in Key West around 2 & we were starving!  After checking in to our hotel, Island City House Hotel, we headed to Bo's Fish Shack for a late lunch.  This outside restaurant was unique and delish!  After eating, we headed to explore Duval Street & shop.  Key West reminded me alot of New Orleans--Duval=Bourbon Street.  Bars, shops, restaurants all make up this 2 mile stretch.  On our way to Duval, we ran across Kermit's Key Lime Pie shop...the best pie in the world!!!  I couldn't resist, so we popped in & grabbed a slice (this became a daily routine)!  We ate a late, light dinner of appitizers (we were still pretty full from lunch!) at Kelly's and called it a night!

 Love him:)
Kelly's Carribean Grill

Day 2- Mr. S & I headed to the state park beach after breakfast & enjoyed a couple of hours of sun and sand (& of course picture taking)!  For dinner, Slade had made reservations at Nine One Five restaurant.  We sat outside on the patio & enjoyed a fantastic dinner.  To end the night, we headed to Sloppy Joe's for some music & people watching (one of my favorite things to do)!

 Pretty!

Day 3- We started off the day with a long bike ride & CF workout!  After getting a little dirty & very sweaty, we cleaned up and got ready for a day of adventure :)  The one thing I requested we do while in the Keys was to paddle board, so we consulted our concierge, who referred us to Lazy Dog for a 2-hour board rental.  Y'all this was SO much fun!!!  We explored up and down the inter coastal, saw a manatee, fish and other ocean life.  The 2 hours flew by...however, we had a little game to look forward to that evening---AL vs. Michigan!  We enjoyed watching the complete domination from the Tide @ JDL's Big Ten Sports bar w/ other fans from Alabama!  ROLL TIDE!!! :)

 Key West Pier

Day 4- We went fishing!  Mr. S had never been deep-sea fishing before, so we decided to give it a shot :)  We went out for a 6 hour day w/ 4 others.  I caught the first fish---an Amberjack.  Unforunately, we didn't see too much action while out, so Slade came home without a catch :(  I think I was more bummed than he was.  However, we had a great time out at sea & we were able to eat the Amberjack for dinner!

 Fighting!
 Got him!
 Not to bad :)
Waiting for something to hit the line...

Day 5- Our last full day on the island, so we decided to do a little sight seeing in the morning & then spent the remainder of the day on the beach!  We started by biking to the Little White House- a place that President Truman resided in & is still used from time to time today.  Hemingway's House was next...I was interested in this because I recently read The Paris Wife, which is a loose story of his time in Paris.  It was old, so unique & beautiful!  The Southernmost Point was next (w/ some rain) then we headed to the beach for some sand, sun & for Mr. S shade under the umbrella!!!  My last surprise of the trip, was reservations at Latitudes on Sunset Key Island.  If you go to Key West, you MUST eat here.  It was AWESOME!  We took a ferry to the island as the sun was setting=beautiful!  Dinner was on the beach & delicious :)

 Rain, rain go away!
 Hemingway House
 Sunset Key
Our view @ dinner...WOW :)

As you can see, we had a BLAST!  Thanks to Mr. S for planning a majority of the trip :)  It was the perfect getaway for our last vacation of the year!  Now, when can we go back!??!?!

Lillian Pace- 25 Weeks!

Happy Hump Day Y'all!

I've been MIA for the past week b/c the Mr. & I were on vacation...it was wonderful!  I'll be doing a post or two on our fantastic time in the Keys, but until then, I figured most of you are wondering what Miss Lily is up to this week!

We entered our 26th week on Monday (cra-cra!)---she is opening her eyes this week and continues her growth spurt!

How Far Along? 25 weeks, 2 Days---11.5 Inches & 2 Pounds
Size of the Baby? Cauliflower
Maternity Clothes? Maternity pants, but everything else is regular! Still wearing a lot of dresses too J
Weight Gain: Around 15 lbs…I blame it mostly on vacation---aka Key Lime Pie!!!
Stretch Marks? No sign of these pesky lines…makes this girl very happy!
Gender? Girl- Sweet Lily J
Movement? Little Miss is a dancing machine & I LOVE it! Mr. S loves it too—he begs her to “play” (aka kick) with him at least once a day…she has him wrapped around her finger already.
Wedding Rings? On!
Sleep?  Good.  Hope this continues!
Food Cravings? Nothing specific, but we did have our fair share of seafood & key lime pie while in the Keys….yummy! J
What I Miss: Raw oysters, beach cocktails & not feeling like a grandma for wanting to be in bed by 11pm on vacation.
Symptoms? The occasional lower backache is really the only complaint this week.  I’m feeling really good!
Belly Button? In, but becoming flatter as the weeks roll on.
Best Moment of the Week? Having a week off to enjoy time w/ Mr. S before our newest addition joins us in December!  We had a wonderful vacation- full of relaxing, food, sun & fun J  We also began our search for childcare--while this process isn’t easy, I think we are closer to finding the perfect place/people for us & Lily.
