Mama Wore Heels :)

You read it right friends---this past Saturday I wore heels for the first time since giving birth :)

What was the occasion you ask?

Mr. S & I went on our first overnight date without Lily!  We ventured into Buckhead (a whole 15 miles from our house!) for 24 hours of relaxing, enjoying time together and eating some delicious food :) Not to mention we stayed at the St. Regis...SO nice!

The date started with Bebe coming over to stay with Lily & Tyde around 1:30 on Saturday afternoon.  Even though I knew babe & pup were in good hands, it was hard to leave.  Here is the proof- documenting our departure with a picture :)

And right when we were walking out the door it started to flurry!  So of course we didn't leave...we had a document Lily's 1st snow :)

Once we arrived at the St. Regis, we were escorted up to our huge room (a hotel room with 1 1/2 baths---crazy!) & started the evening off with a very special wine.  We went to Napa a year and a half ago and purchased a couple of bottles of really nice wine.  Well I knew that I wanted to celebrate the birth of Lily with the nicest bottle we brought back, but I needed to wait until I stopped breastfeeding (so I could have more than 1 glass!), so that is what we did...Jarvis 2007 Merlot Reserve...delish! :)

Some pictures of the room.  I highly recommend the St. Regis...I am spoiled & it will be very hard to stay in a "normal" hotel ever again.

Slade made us dinner reservations at Hal's...um best steaks ever!  We enjoyed cocktails, chatting about life (we tried to limit convo about our Priss Pot, but it was hard!), the delish food...oh & I enjoyed getting dressed up for the evening out!

Surprisingly, we didn't rush home on Sunday....our plush robes & coffee in bed were the culprits!  Ordering room service & watching a couple of episodes of Homeland also didn't help (btw- that show is addicting!), but by noon we were both ready to get back to our Lily!

It was a wonderful time away to focus some time on each other.  Thanks to Mr. S for planning a wonderful date night...you have set the bar high! :)
